Registration

    • A registration form and a terms and condition form must be at the start of the academic year (even if you have filled one out for previous years) at the beginning of the for all students or Parents/Guardians upon joining MKHA education classes. Students will not be permitted to take a class unless these forms have been completed.
    • The calendar year for classes run in line with the School Academic year so there are 3 terms for the year and holidays will be in line with the Milton Keynes schools schedule. Other class term times will be sent out as and when they have been determined.
    • The minimum age for a student to join a class is 5 (five) years for classes.
    • We offer a free trail class for new student in week 1 of every term. Should the student then decide to continue with the classes, they must pay the fee for the term.
    • The dates for classes will be communicated before the beginning of each new term.
    • MKHA do not take new students during mid-term times.

 

Classes

    • Students may bring with them bottled water or a drink.
    • Students are responsible for their own property and bring items at their own risks.
    • MKHA reserves the right to expel students for disruptive or unruly behavior.
    • Teachers will perform a registration at the beginning of each class.
    • Class times are shown in clause [3].
    • Certain cultural activities will take place as part of teaching methodology.

 

Responsibilities

    • It is the responsibility of Parents/Guardians to ensure their child is collected on time. The Class teacher is not required to wait.
    • Parents and families are not allowed to wait in the building during class time.
    • Those parents who are picking up should do so quietly.
    • Photographs and videos of students may be taken by MKHA and used on the MKHA website and other social media. If you do not want your child’s photo/film to be taken, please make the teacher aware of this issue.
    • Parents should encourage their child to attend regularly as this helps the student to learn as well as gain cultural values. Participation in all activities also helps to enhance their social and team building skills.
    • Occasionally, there may be some physical contact (i.e. holding hands) during class activities or events.
    • In dance classes there will be a need for some physical contact.
    • Parents must ensure that their child can attend the toilet unaided.

 

Health and Safety

    • A certain amount of risk is involved by taking part in any physical activity. Students taking part in any classes or events run by MKHA education classes do so at their own risk.
    • If your child needs assistance, becomes unwell or has an accident while on the premises or during classes, there must be a contact who is easily available. All incidents will be recorded.
    • If your child needs assistance, becomes unwell or has an accident whilst on the premises or during classes, there must be a contact who is easily available.
    • All incidents will be recorded and the parent/guardian should request a copy at the time.

 

Complaints procedures

    • Students should talk to the teachers in the first instance, should the issue be not resolved then the students or the parents/guardian should write to the head of education, President or trustees of MKHA.

 

Time and Fees

    • Fees must be paid in full before the beginning of each term.
    • MKHA would request all parents to pay fees through a bank transfer.
    • Please note there will be a £5 administration charge for late payment of fees of more than 2 weeks.
    • There are no refunds if a student is absent from a class or if the student decides to discontinue the classes.
    • If a class has to be cancelled, parents will be informed, and an additional class added at the end of the term if possible
    • MKHA reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient demand. In this case a full refund will be given.
    • MKHA reserves the right to exclude a student from classes if fees are not paid by due date.
    • By enrolling my child into MKHA Kids classes, I confirm that I accept the above terms and conditions.
