Gujarati school Diwali Performmance 2009

Education team had organised their own Diwali Performance last year and many parents and grandparents watched eagerly as the children performed.

The performance commenced with Prayer dance by Bharatnatyam students followed by Raas Garba, Diwali song by the very youngest and speech on why we celebrate Diwali by older students.

All the children enjoyed the party and the delicious food that the parents had brought in it was shared by everyone.

Items that were donated to the children were:

Traditionally decorated DIVAS by Daiben Mistry

Traditional Gujarati Story Books by Goricha family

These were presented to children at the end of the evening.

Mr & Mrs Ramila Mistry presented the cheque of £125.00 to MKHA Gujarati School.
