Darshana
Jagatia LLB (Hons) - Projects (Legal Advisor)
Darshana
was born in Tanzania, lived for a period in Zambia
and came to the UK with her family in 1977.
The family have settled in Milton Keynes since
then. She completed her education in the UK. A
Solicitor by profession, she is a Partner in a
prominant Law Firm which is the oldest established
Practice in Milton Keynes. She is also inter-alia
a member of the Law Society's family law panel
and was until recently, the Public Relations Officer
of the local Law Society. In addition, Darshana
is a member of the Bedfordshire, Berkshire and
Oxon Law Society as well as the National Law Society.
Her general interests have led her to become a member
of Amnesty International.
Darshana
showed her initial interest in the Hindu Association
in the mid '90s, a time during which the
Jagatia family was also actively involved in setting
the foundations of the now thriving Hindu Association.
Darshana went on to become the Chair of the organisation.
Currently she is a Trustee as well as being at
the forefront of the Community Centre Project
Team.
