Ashok Tosar B Pharm(Hons), MRParmS – Chair of MKHA Trustee Board
Ashok was born in Uganda and came to the UK with his family. He completed his formal education in the UK leading to becoming a qualified pharmacist by attaining an honours degree from University of Wales & Institute of Science and Technology in 1979. He has since become a prominent business leader in Milton Keynes with business interests in Pharmacy and the Post Office.
He is married and has two teenage children. Ashok has been a long-standing trustee of MKHA and has also been an active mover in the establishment of the first Hindu Community Centre in Milton Keynes. He is a leading citizen, well loved and trusted by both the Hindu and the wider community. |

Kapil Dudakia - BSc(Hons), PGCE, MIET, MIITT
Kapil was born in Kenya but has lived most of his life in the UK. He completed his schooling in the North West and thereafter graduated from University College, Cardiff with an Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He has gone on to complete his Post Graduate qualifications and rose within the education field to become one of the youngest Inspector of Schools ever appointed by Her Majesty the Queen in the UK.
Kapil is married and has two children. At present, he has started his own Import/Export Company which is based in the city. In the past he has conducted his community service through being a governor to a number of schools, having been appointed by the then Secretary of State for Health as the Chair of the Independent Complaints Panel for the NHS, appointed by the MK Council to sit on the Standards Committee and was until recently the official Head of PR for the Hindu Forum of Britain. At present he sits on the MK Local Strategic Partnerships, is the current Chair of MK Council of Faiths, a Trustee of the Fremantle Trust and a graduate of the 'Common Purpose' programme in Milton Keynes. |

Darshana
Jagatia LLB (Hons) - Projects (Legal Advisor)
Darshana was born in Tanzania, lived for a period in Zambia and came to the UK with her family in 1977. The family have settled in Milton Keynes since then. She completed her education in the UK. A Solicitor by profession, she is a Partner in a prominant Law Firm which is the oldest established Practice in Milton Keynes. She is also inter-alia a member of the Law Society's family law panel and was until recently, the Public Relations Officer of the local Law Society. In addition, Darshana is a member of the Bedfordshire, Berkshire and Oxon Law Society as well as the National Law Society. Her general interests have led her to become a member of Amnesty International.
Darshana showed her initial interest in the Hindu Association in the mid '90s, a time during which the Jagatia family was also actively involved in setting the foundations of the now thriving Hindu Association. Darshana went on to become the Chair of the organisation. Currently she is a Trustee as well as being at the forefront of the Community Centre Project Team.
